I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN THE GREAT HUNT I HAD WITH SAND ROK OUTFITTERS ,THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME OUT WEST TO HUNT WHITETAIL DEER AND SAND ROCK OUTFITTERS MADE  THIS TRIP SO ENJOYABLE AND FUN. NOT ONLY DID THEY PUT US ON SOME VERY NICE DEER BUT 6 OUT OF 8 GUYS GOT GREAT OPERTUNITYS TO SHOOT 150 CLASS DEER AND TO JUST BE IN THAT GROUP WAS VERY EXCITING. NOT ONLY DID I MYSELF SEE SOME GREAT DEER BUT AS A WHOLE GROUP WE HAD A VERY ENJOYABLE TRIP. TABYS COOKING ALONE IS WORTH THE TRIP TO THERE CAMP,GREAT JOB AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS 2009 NOV HUNT ,GREAT JOB KIRBY &TABY

I hunted with Sand Rock Outfitters in Missouri during the 2008 whitetail season and found the land and the hospitality to be outstanding. Much of the memory of a hunt is a result of the hard work and dedication put into your hunt by your outfitter and the guides. We have not hunted there yet so my only experience is seeing the property last September

so here it is,,,,

The most impressive 30 minutes of deer spotting I have ever witnessed. The last 1/2 hour of light on Kirby & Taby's Iowa property was unbelievable. I have never witnessed a true bruiser 160 plus eating grass in a field look up to see us watching him from 150 yards and go back to eating grass unconcerned with our presence. The total number of deer I saw mixed in with good to great bucks was amazing. I am counting the minutes until this November when I come back to hunt.

Seven of us hunted the bow season and we can't say enough about the accommodations. Kirby and Taby were great hosts and they and the experienced guides put us where the deer were. The food was great and it was a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a great personal touch. We'd definitely go back again and are looking forward to this fall.  Steve C

I have always been leery of using an outfitter, but after meeting Kirby, Taby and the guides at Sand Rock outfitters, I was quickly put at ease. It was a very fun and relaxed atmosphere. The facilities were top notch and the guides worked very hard to ensure my success. I have already rebooked a turkey hunt for next year and am in the process of obtaining an Iowa archery deer tag. I have told several people of the great experience! I had a ball. The time just went too fast!

What can I say. Kirby and Taby at Sand Rock Outfitters are top notch. I hunted there For the first time during the 2008 archery season. The weather was a little warm but once the weather snapped it was a different world. There were deer everywhere. The hunting accommodations was awesome. The lodging is A1  and the food was to die for. This year we booked again for their combo hunt. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

I had a wonderful hunt even though I didn't connect on a trophy whitetail I seen some really good bucks and the experience was awesome. Gobbling, Clucking, and Purring

      Gobbling, clucking and purring, the three sounds always associated with a great turkey hunt. But at Sand Rock Outfitters it is not only the turkeys that are echoing these melodies; Gobbling is what is done when Taby serves up one of her fantastic home cooked meals, Clucking is the chatter at the lodge when the hunters have returned with their Missouri long beards, and the Purring is a relaxing afternoon nap on the lakeside dock.

     Sand Rock Outfitters is the real deal when it comes to experiencing a first class Mid-west turkey hunt. The entire operation from the experienced staff, the lodging accommodations and the quality of the Eastern turkeys will leave a lasting impression. Kirby and Taby take great pride in their operation and it definitely shows. The turkey hunting exceeded my expectations and I was able to harvest my biggest turkey to date, an 11.5” beard weighing in at 25 lbs 6 oz. The action was non-stop from the early sunrise sound off to the grand finally boom of my shotgun. The properties were outstanding and they were littered with turkey and whitetail sign. The size and amount of the buck rubs could easily send the most devoted turkey hunter into daydreams of monster whitetails. I cannot wait to return this fall to arrow one of those mid-western giants.

My son and I hunted Turkeys this spring with Sand Rock Outfitters. We had a wonderful time and each wound up taking a turkey. Everything was top-notch including the guides, accommodations and hunting areas. We will definitely be hunting with them again and already scheduled for next year.
